In Nomine Babalon!

Welcome to The Holy Books of Babalon, a collection of writings both received and inspired by the Scarlet Woman, as well as essays and magickal rituals dedicated to Our Lady.

This is part of an effort by The Scarlet Temple, a universal collective of those who have dedicated themselves to Her mysteries. All are welcome here.

We will be updating our collection periodically and would love to hear from those of you who have had dealings or contact with the Holy Whore in some manner. Writings such as those published here are often not shared with other devotees, simply through lack of resources or tools to make them more public. We would like to assist the servants of Our Lady in this endeavor. If you have something to share, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for visiting our page. We hope you find something here to inspire you on your own journey.

The blessings of Our Lady be upon you!

UPDATE: After receiving feedback from some of you regarding the readability of the site, we have made a couple of minor changes to the visual aspects of this blog. It is our hope that you will find it a little easier to read. As always, your feedback and comments are most welcome and very much appreciated! Please don’t be shy in letting us know what you think!

This is the Mystery of Babalon, the Mother of Abominations, and this is the mystery of her adulteries, for she hath yielded up herself to everything that liveth, and hath become a partaker in its mystery. And because she hath made herself the servant of each, therefore is she become the mistress of all. Not as yet canst thou comprehend her glory.

Begin in the East

I am beauty
Serpentines to the west stands in front of the tomb with one white rose

I am the flame
Does the same with one bright red rose stands next to virgin

I am eternal
Does the same with one dark red rose stands by whore

I am the Virgin of Eternity. I am she that the Holy One hath wrested from the Giant Time, and the prize of them that have overcome Space. I am she that is set upon the Throne of Understanding.

Every man that hath seen me forgetteth me never, and I appear oftentimes in the coals of the fire, and upon the smooth skin of woman, and in the
constancy of the waterfall, and in the emptiness of deserts and marshes,
and upon great cliffs that look seaward; and in many strange places, where
men seek me not. And many thousand times he beholdeth me not. And at last I smite myself into him as a vision smiteth into a stone, and whom I call
must follow.

Understand by “Compassion,” the sacrament of suffering, partaken by the true worshippers of the Highest. And it is an ecstasy in which there is no trace of pain. Its passivity is like the giving-up of the self to the beloved.

Rings bell once
O crystal heart! I the Serpent clasp Thee; I drive home mine head into the central core of Thee, O Goddess my beloved.
Even as on the resounding wind-swept heights of Mitylene some god-like woman casts aside the lyre, and with her locks aflame as an aureole, plunges into the wet heart of the creation, so I, O my Goddess!
There is a beauty unspeakable in this heart of corruption, where the flowers are aflame.

At the birth of BABALON.
BABALON is too beautiful
for sight of mortal eyes
I have hidden my loveliness away
in lonely midnight sky

O popes and kings and the little gods
are sick and sad and wan
To see the crimson star that bursts
like blood upon the dawn
While trumpets sound and stars rejoice
And all hail BABALON.
virtue is foul
beneath the holy sky,
And her kisses will wanton the world away
in passion that shall not die.
Ye shall laugh and love and follow my dance

When the wrath of God is gone
And dream no more of hell and hate
Life, death, love, hatred, light, darkness return to me.
All returns to me.
The wealth of kisses, the delight of tears
The barren pleasures never came to birth,
The endless infinite delight of years.

I am Babalon! And I shine with the beauty of limitless potential.
Places white rose on font and returns to alter in the East

I am Babalon! And I shine with the beauty of fornication.
Places light red rose on font and returns to alter

I am Babalon! And I shine with the beauty of time.
Places dark red rose on font and returns the the alter in the East

Seven are the veils of the dancing-girl in the harem of IT.
Seven are the names, and seven are the lamps beside Her bed.
Seven eunuchs guard Her with drawn swords; No Man may come nigh unto Her.
In Her wine-cup are seven streams of blood of the Seven Spirits of God.
Seven are the heads of THE BEAST whereon She rideth.
The head of an Angel: the head of a Saint: the head of a Poet: the head of An Adulterous Woman: the head of a Man of Valour: the head of a Satyr: and the head of a Lion-Serpent.
Seven letters hath Her holiest name; and it is BABALON
This is the Seal upon the Ring that is on the Forefinger of IT: and it is the Seal upon the Tombs of them whom She hath slain.
Here is Wisdom. Let Him that hath Understanding count the Number of Our Lady; for it is the Number of a Woman; and Her Number is An Hundred and Fifty and Six.

Behold, Brothers and Sisters! For it is written: “Every man and every woman
is a star!” And again: “There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt.”
Shine, therefore, your light to all other stars in the Body of Nuit.
Little children, love one another!
Rings bell 3 times and blows out candle.
