Liber 181:19 There is Truth higher than truth, and Justice more righteous than justice. Trample on all birds for they lie about what they see; the Truth is beneath the earth and in the pitiful lusts of men. All meet in the depths of hell, and bring the heavens down with them. False prophets protect My Truth.
This book is the guide to the seventh axiom of the Hermetic Principles, the key to the accomplishment of the Great Work – the Crossing of the Abyss – the marriage of fire and water – the secret of the Holy Grail – and the amalgamation of the intrinsic aspects of divinity within every degree the self labels “duality”.
Liber 100 Be it now understood further concerning the interchange of opposites, that albeit Man is active and Woman passive, yet Man is Peace and Woman Power. And this is called the Hermetic Paradox; and he that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
The masculine is that which seeks unity. The feminine is unity which reminds the masculine of his nature; that he was, will be, and is united. Gender is not polarity, but a scale of abstraction. The end and the beginning are feminine. The coming into being is masculine. We are all female in the womb, and hence we return to female upon crossing the abyss.
Liber AL I:51 …take your fill and will of love as ye will; when, where and with whom ye will! But always unto me.
Liber 333:3 The Man delights in uniting with the Woman; the Woman in parting from the Child.
The Brothers of A.’.A.’. are Women: the Aspirants to A.’.A.’. are Men.
0. There are Three Gates, each holding a part of the Wisdom of the Unity.
They cannot be opened fully individually; as the Trinity of God is not linear to be beheld.
The witness to these parts is the Fourth.
A. God – the void, being the night from which milk weeps. al
B. The son – the fountain, that baptises all those who seek honestly. la
C. The holy spirit – the word, which sets forth the motion of all three combined. tc
Liber 156:1. This is the secret of the Holy Graal, that is the sacred vessel of our Lady the Scarlet Woman, Babalon the Mother of Abominations, the bride of Chaos, that rideth upon our Lord the Beast.

I. The first step for the adept is to fill the Void with his Self.
Liber 156:2-3. Thou shalt drain out thy blood that is thy life into the golden cup of her fornications. Thou shalt mingle thy life with the universal life. Thou shalt not keep back one drop.
He must neither fear the loss of his self nor the darkness which seeks him. In this task, he must know Choronzon, but overcome him. When he enters this gate, his worldly existence ceases. The Void is an illusion, but also the most solid reality. Once inside, he is not to feel the Void, but instead feel the completion of something beyond him, that he is a part of. He is to blindly explore every seemingly contradictory attribute of this darkness, and embrace the aspect darkest to him. This feeling of completion with accepting the absence of understanding is the Master Key to all three gates. Motion of the self inside the void leads to the expansion and contraction of the Void, which is Creation Itself.

II. With the Void filled, the word of God will seek to be expressed. Having given the entirety of his being to the Void, only the effects of his energy, being the karma which is his imprint in the universe remain.
Liber 156:5. Then shall the winds gather themselves together, and bear thee up as it were a little heap of dust in a sheet that hath four corners, and they shall give it unto the guardians of the abyss.
The karma of an enlightened adept is rhythmic, the rhythm being harmonious with the natural ebb and flow of spiritual-material manifestation. This ebb and flow is that of true will, in alignment with universal will; the adept does not rush, lag, over-exert, or under-exert his energy. The more he is used to working in this manner, the less attention he needs in order to perform. Eventually it becomes autonomous, and his self is a part of his own Work – he witnesses his self ebb and flow as needed. He speaks only truth, for he only hears truth, and truth is his karma. Is his truth not a flame which burns up his karma, and the remnants of his mark upon the universe? And is not the nature of fire to resist being owned by one, making its owner all-that-is? Herein lies a glimpse of he, the Magus-to-Come.
Liber 1:1-4. In the beginning doth the Magus speak Truth, and send forth Illusion and Falsehood to enslave the soul. Yet therein is the Mystery of Redemption. By His Wisdom made He the Worlds; the Word that is God is none other than He. How then shall He end His speech with Silence? For He is Speech. He is the First and the Last. How shall He cease to number Himself?
The gate of the word receives and transmits its own karma. By its own Nature, it is not distinct from the karma of the adept, yet it is more. He is consumed by the dialogue. The process described here is the Holy Spirit uniting with god – three parts of one thing have now become two.
Liber 100. One is the Essence of God; and One is the Essence of Man. Yet since God is only One because He is Three in One; so man is only One when he is Two-in-One. As God’s Essence abideth in Himself, so also with the Essence of man. Yet man not being himself wholly, but part of himself, this essence is not wholly in him.
It shall then absorb his karma, and the more pure the karma, the better the rhythm and harmony of his karma, the sooner the adept is given the gift of this gate. Nothing exits through this gate, for its nature is pure vibration – the air above and beneath the wings of the dove.

III. The motion of the word resonates throughout the universe; reverberating through the vessel of the Self of the adept. The Self will reverberate back until the last gate opens. He is to allow it, and with every pulse that increases with intensity and frequency, his Self is lost to the darkness that is to be his Womb-to-Come.
Let him have faith in the rhythm and harmony of his worldly karma and seek not to change it – for one misstep and the darkness will reject him and his Work shall be fed to the dreadful Choronzon.

IV. He becomes the Fourth Gate.
Liber 181:17. The Child is not dead; he is Death.
The self is shattered upon degrees of intensity and frequency which vary from adept to adept. Having performed all steps as they are written, there shall be success. This success is simultaneously death, baptism, and the consumption of the fountain of youth.
He is lost entirely to the womb of darkness.
She, the babe grows within the womb of darkness – the now deceased adept once knew her by the title of his HGA.
Once born, her title is Nemo and in her womb grows he, the deceased and forgotten adept.
